Art @ the Library: Throughout the month of October, the Art Gallery at the Bogue Banks Library will feature paintings by Irene Bailey and her Open Studio Session Portrait Painters: Sue Henry, Karen Crenshaw and Pat Warnke. These paintings are a collection of rough studies to finished paintings and illustrate different styles. The display case will feature the beautiful wood sculptures by former Emerald Isle resident George Brooks. His subjects – shore and sea birds—are very popular with our coastal residents.
