NCJRO Performs

   Kick Off Event: The North Carolina Jazz Repertory Orchestra performs at Riverfront Convention Center, New Bern. The NCJRO is the state’s most celebrated jazz orchestra. The concert features a musically illustrated lecture on “Jazz of the 1920s” by orchestra leader James Ketch, UNC professor of music and director of jazz studies, followed by a swinging salute to the era’s music. Tom “the Jazzman” Mallison of Public Radio East will be Master of Ceremonies. Tom is host to one of the longest-running jazz radio programs in North Carolina.

  • Corporate Tables of 10 are available
  • Purchase tickets at any CPC Library

  • Cash or checks made out to Carteret County Friends of the Library accepted.

 Concert attendees will enter the Convention Center through a showcase of vintage automobiles provided by the First Capital Antique Automobile Club of America (12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.).
