The Carteret County Public Library’s vertical files are a useful resource
for folks interested in exploring topics on local history and genealogy. In
addition, there are North Carolina files and general files that cover a
broader range of subjects. The files are organized according to the

Most of this material
consists of newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and so forth. The file drawers
are kept locked until a patron wishes to browse the files, in which case
library staff will assist. Vertical file materials may be copied for a small
fee.
The vertical files are located in the reference section of the library. |
