Letís Talk About It. Monday, September 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the library, Tom Douglass of ECU will discuss Tony Hillermanís Dance Hall of the Dead. This is the first session of the Letís Talk About It series, Mysteries: Clues to Who We Are. This project is made possible by a grant from the North Carolina Humanities Council, a statewide nonprofit and affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Letís Talk About It is a joint project of the North Carolina Humanities Council and the North Carolina Center for the Book, a program of the State Library of North Carolina/Department of Cultural Resources and an affiliate of the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress.  

 

 

Art @ the Library

     The Art Gallery will feature the colorful paintings of Gwen Jordan. View more of her work at: http://www.beachchickartist.com/.

     The display case will be filled with the pottery of local artist Burkett Howath. His work has a distinctive coastal flair, decorated with shrimp, crabs, fish, turtles and other oceanic delicacies.
