Art Gallery & Showcase: 

     Through the month of November the Art Gallery of the Bogue Banks Public Library will feature fine art by a select group of Pine Knoll Shores artists. These local artists work in a diverse range of media and styles depicting beach and coastal scenes as well as florals, children, animals and abstracts. The Showcase will display the work of Thelma Brauns of Emerald Isle, creator of “The Lucy Bag,” a hand-knitted woolen bag in the beautiful heather colors of the Scottish countryside. Please plan to join our gallery artists at the public reception on Friday, November 14th, from 3-4 PM in the Art Gallery.

Reading Room:

     The Carteret County Public Library Reading Room will showcase winning photographs from the Seafood Festival 2008. Pieces will be displayed in the library reading room. The Core Sound Decoy art from the Down East Decoy Festival 2008 will also be displayed through the month of November.

Long Hall:

     Through the month of November, Gwen Jordan will be displaying artworks in acrylics in the long hallway at the Western Carteret Public Library.
